Pray About Everything

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God" – Philippians 4:6

Prayer is not meant to be a last resort. It is not only for emergencies or when life feels overwhelming. Prayer is meant to be the constant conversation between you and God, the lifeline that keeps you connected to the One who holds everything together. And the Bible makes it clear, there is nothing too small to bring to Him.

Sometimes we think we should only pray about the “big” things. Major decisions, serious illnesses, or life-changing moments. But God invites us to bring every detail of our lives to Him. If it matters to you, it matters to Him. He is your Heavenly Father, and He cares about every part of your story, from the smallest concern to the heaviest burden.

Prayer shapes us. It reminds us that we are not in control, but we serve a God who is. It aligns our hearts with His will and draws us into deeper trust. When you pray about everything, you begin to see God’s fingerprints all over your life, even in the areas you once thought were too small to mention.

Think about how much needless worry we carry simply because we do not take it to God. We try to solve it ourselves, stressing over things we were never meant to carry alone. But prayer is the act of handing those things over to Him, saying, “God, I trust You with this, no matter how small it may seem.”

Prayer is essential because it is not just about asking; it is about a relationship. The more you talk to Him, the more you recognize His voice, sense His guidance, and rest in His peace. Prayer invites God into every moment, and when you live that way, you stop dividing life into “spiritual” and “ordinary” because you realize He is present in all of it.

Pray about everything. Bring Him the small requests and the big battles. Let Him into every corner of your life. Nothing is too small for God to care about, and nothing is too big for Him to handle.

Yes sir. Been thinking the same thing. You ministered to us that even though He knows everything He still wants to hear from us. That in itself is pretty cool.

This week, I had to euthanize my 21-year-old cat, who was named Simon. While crying all the way to the vet's office, I realized that God has blessed me with 21 years of cuddling, love, scratched furniture, and companionship. I began to pray, and God released the guilt I had for making this decision. To some, this may seem like a small thing, but for me, I knew I needed God to get through it. God showed up with support from caring friends and comfort from the vet. While I still have my "moments", I am comforted by God's love through prayer. Thank you CBC

Sorry about your cat. It’s so sad taking them down there. Not every season is fun.

And if I may, I would add, prayer reminds us that we are not alone, and declares to Satan that he has no power over us and no place in our lives!
