The Bible is Still Enough

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness" - 2 Timothy 3:16

We are constantly being pulled in a hundred directions. Culture tries to define truth for us. Social media shouts a thousand different opinions. Friends, family, and even our own emotions can twist how we see the world. But Paul reminded Timothy of something we need to hear again today: the Bible is still enough.

God’s Word isn’t outdated. It’s not incomplete. It doesn’t need to be adjusted or added to. It is breathed out by God Himself and carries all the authority you need for every area of your life. It corrects what is wrong. It trains you in what is right. It shows you how to live, how to love, how to stand strong when the world gets loud.

Some people treat the Bible like a backup plan. They only turn to it when nothing else works. Others read it like a textbook, full of facts but no power. But if you really want to know what to do, how to move forward, how to stay grounded, this book has to become your daily foundation.

When life feels confusing, the Word brings clarity. When you feel uncertain, the Word brings stability. When you start to believe lies, the Word brings truth. And when you want to grow, the Word brings transformation.

It’s not enough to just listen to preachers or scroll past Christian quotes. You have to open the book yourself. You have to sit with it, study it, and let it read you while you read it. It’s living and active. It will speak to you if you’ll give it the chance.

No matter what is happening in your world right now, the Bible is still enough. Lean on it. Build your life on it. Let it lead you, shape you, and keep you anchored in a world that keeps shifting.

I was "homeschooled," which really ment mom got to sleep in, instead of her taking my sister and I to school.

n

nThis was till I through I threw a fit in 8th grade to go to school. I believe through God my sister and I are rather successful. I ended up graduating 2nd in my class. However I know i lack in my reading skills.

n

nThe ONLY book I read for many years of my adult life was the Bible. I am stoked that through many years of struggling I can and do read the Bible with efficacy. I do have to reread read everything I read and underline everything that impacts me. But I know the Bible is enough and all I need.

Thank you Pastor Ed. I have read and read and read. I still do. Two different experiences come to mind. The Holy Spirit was on me strongly for a very long time and at the beginning I was watching Hugh Ross. He described to me what was happening right at that moment with me and said that if this has happened to you God wants you to read the Old Testament. So I started trying to read it. Then after a couple years I was reading and this verse kept coming up. It said something like you search diligently the scriptures for help but you don’t ask me. I was like wow. There He is. Not like He was not blowing me away every day at that point but He guided me back to where I needed to be. I was getting caught up in a lot of misunderstanding so now I try not to lean on my own too much these days. God is here with us. Always. I do believe He wants us to know His word and to put it into practice as well. But He also wants us to turn to Him and talk to Him too. He is here to help us. Love yall

Thank you, Pastor Ed. Starting off the day thanking and praising the Lord. Opening his word and reading and letting the Holy Spirit wash me is the best way possible to start my day. God bless you, and thank you. And Jesus name.

Thank you, Pastor Ed, for this beautiful and timely word. The world is so chaotic and noisy. The word of God breathes such good life into us. Always look forward to my devotions.
