God Uses Ordinary People for Extraordinary Purpose

"But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong" - 1 Corinthians 1:27

God has a history of choosing the most unexpected people to carry out His greatest plans. All through Scripture, it was never about having the best resume, the loudest voice, or the most perfect past. It was about a heart that was willing to say yes. And that’s still true today. You may feel too simple, too broken, too unqualified, but none of that disqualifies you from being used by God. In fact, it might be the very thing that sets you up to be used in a way that points people to Him.

Think about how Jesus called His disciples. He didn’t go after religious scholars or powerful rulers. He chose fishermen, a tax collector, and even someone known for doubting. None of them had it all together, but Jesus used them to change the world. It was their obedience, not their perfection, that made the difference. God doesn’t need your status; He wants your surrender.

One of the biggest lies people believe is that God only uses special people. The truth is, God uses surrendered people. If you’re faithful where you are, even in the small things, God can multiply your impact. You don’t need a stage to be significant. You don’t need fame to be effective. What you do need is a heart that’s willing to follow wherever God leads.

If you’ve been holding back because you don’t think you’re enough, it’s time to let that lie go. God is not limited by your limitations. The world may overlook you, but God sees you, calls you, and has already equipped you for a purpose bigger than yourself.

Let today be the day you stop waiting to feel worthy and start walking in obedience. God has always used ordinary people for extraordinary purposes. Why not you? Why not now?
