The Daily Checklist

"He must increase, but I must decrease." - John 3:30

If you are going to run your race with endurance, if you are serious about laying down the weight, dropping the sin, and living out a bold Why Not You? mentality, you have to prepare for it every single day. You cannot expect to walk in victory without a plan. The moment your feet hit the floor in the morning, the enemy is already on notice. That means you have to step into each day with purpose.

There are no vacation days when it comes to spiritual warfare. You do not get to coast. Every single day matters, and that means having a rhythm to your life, or a daily checklist that keeps you grounded, sharp, and moving forward. I think of my friend David Youngdale, a Top Gun pilot who now flies for Delta. No matter how experienced he is, every time he sits in that cockpit, he goes through the same detailed checklist. Why? Because preparation protects the mission.

If that is true for flying, how much more should it be true for your spiritual walk? You have a calling on your life, and you need to approach it with the same discipline and focus. So what does your daily checklist look like? Here are some essentials to keep you locked in:

Word & Worship: Start every day anchored in Scripture and in the presence of God. Let His Word and your worship shape your mindset.

Filled with the Holy Spirit: Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and fill you for whatever is ahead.

Stay Battle Ready: Put on the armor of God. Be aware that challenges will come, but you are equipped to stand firm.

You Are Enough: Remind yourself of your identity in Christ. You are chosen, called, and fully loved.

Speak with Confidence: Watch your words. Speak life over yourself and others, aligning your language with God’s truth.

God Dream: Keep your God-sized vision in focus. What is He calling you to build or pursue that is bigger than you?

Availability, Not Ability: Remember that God is not looking for perfection. He is looking for a willing heart. Stay open to what He wants to do through you.

This is how you stay ready. This is how you step into each day with purpose and power. Before you take off running, check your heart, your mindset, and your spirit. The mission is too important to leave anything to chance.
