Don’t Wait Another Day

"For he says, 'In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.' Behold, now is the favorable time, behold, now is the day of salvation." - 2 Corinthians 6:2

There is no more dangerous decision than to delay surrendering your life to Jesus. I know people push it off. They think there’s more time. They think they’ll get serious later, when life slows down or when they feel ready. But let me say this plainly. You are not promised tomorrow. You have no idea what today holds, let alone what might come next week or next year.

We plan out our careers. We prepare for retirement. We take out life insurance and save up for things that might happen down the road. But when it comes to eternity, many people just hope it all works out. Eternity is too long to be unsure. And your life is too valuable to gamble it away on the idea that you’ll deal with God later.

There’s a danger in believing that later is an option. That you can keep living for yourself and then one day, when the time feels right, you’ll turn to God. But what if later never comes? What if your time runs out before your heart is made right? The enemy loves it when people think they have more time. Because it keeps them distracted just long enough to miss what matters most.

God’s Word is clear. Now is the day of salvation. Not tomorrow. Not someday. Today. That invitation is open to you right now. And the moment you give your life to Jesus, you’re not just securing your eternity, you’re stepping into the life He created you to live. A life of peace, purpose, freedom, and joy. It’s not always easy, but it is always worth it.

If you haven’t surrendered your heart to Jesus, do not wait another second. Get alone with Him. Speak to Him. Ask Him to forgive you. Confess your need for a Savior. Trust in the One who died and rose again so that you could live. Because the truth is, nothing is more urgent than this. Today is the day. Right now is your moment. Don’t let it pass you by.

Amen. Jesus is the only one who you can test and actually find out. I did what He said not even knowing that He was the one who had said it. And not even because I was looking for Him. I just was led to a place where they taught that this is what we do. This is the way to a better life. I was shocked when Jesus showed up and also so pleasantly surprised. I hadn’t been happy in a very long time and He brought me life. The soundtrack to my life really had a step in it finally. It all finally made sense. Pastor Ed you aren’t lying. It’s so worth it. The best most wonderful thing you can ever encounter in this life. I would go as far as to say it’s the reason we are here.
