Faithfulness Over Flash

"His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’" - Matthew 25:23

It is tempting to believe that significance comes from doing something big, something noticeable, something that turns heads. We often look for the flashy moments - the breakthroughs, the platform, the recognition - and assume that is when we will finally feel like we are walking in our purpose. But God’s way is different.

What God is looking for first is not flash but faithfulness. Before He enlarges your territory, before He increases your influence, He is watching to see how you steward what is right in front of you. The quiet moments. The unseen tasks. The responsibilities no one claps for. These are the proving grounds of purpose.

Think about it, Joseph was faithful in prison before he ever stepped foot in Pharaoh’s palace. David was faithful in the pasture long before he ever wore a crown. Even Jesus spent 30 years in relative obscurity before stepping into public ministry. The world may measure success by visibility, but God measures it by consistency.

Here’s what you need to hold on to today: faithfulness now is what prepares you for what’s next. The way you show up when no one is watching, the attitude you have when it feels like the work is beneath you, the integrity you keep even when it would be easy to cut corners, these are the things God honors.

Stop waiting for a “big” moment to live out your calling. Your purpose is unfolding right where you are. The small things matter. The hidden things matter. What you do today sets the tone for what God will entrust to you tomorrow.

God’s promise is clear, when you are faithful with little, He will trust you with more. So do not despise the small beginnings. Do not overlook what seems insignificant. Every act of faithfulness is building something eternal, something that matters in the kingdom.

I have so much to say this morning but what can I say really. Thank you for reminding me of this. Happy Father’s Day to our loving Father and His son Jesus Christ our King, Lord, and savior. No matter what our circumstances may be that truly is something to celebrate.

Without a doubt there has been great miracles going on in my life and others. Yet if I am to be honest it’s those little moments where God speaks the loudest to me. I am grateful to have found who my true Father is and to be able to honor the blessings and lessons along the way. May my actions today show His Ways and His Love. Thank you for these devotions. Happy Father’s Day to all the men that are with us here and in heaven.
