Make Today Count

"So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom." - Psalm 90:12

You are not promised tomorrow. That might sound heavy, but it is not meant to bring fear. It is meant to bring focus. You do not need to spiral into anxiety over what might happen next. The real point is that too many people bank on having time they have not actually been given. They talk about who they want to become, what they want to accomplish, and how they are going to follow God more seriously someday. But if we are being honest, someday is not on the calendar. All you have for certain is today.

So what are you going to do with it? Will you keep waiting for the perfect moment, or will you start where you are? Because the truth is, when you give your best to God today, you are planting seeds that shape your tomorrow. Stack enough of those days together, and your life starts to move in ways you did not think were possible.

It does not take a huge moment to change everything. It takes consistent faithfulness. It takes choosing to wake up, surrendering your plans to God, and giving your all where you are. Even if it feels small. Even if nobody sees it. Even if it feels like today does not matter. It matters more than you know.

Psalm 90:12 says, "So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom." That verse is not just about death. It is about living with purpose. When you realize your time is limited, you start to spend it wisely. You stop putting off obedience. You stop waiting to make the change. You stop assuming you will always have more time.

The goal is not to fear the end of your life. The goal is to live this day like it truly matters. Because it does. Make today count. Give God your best now, and let Him do something eternal with it.

Father God, we lost so many young souls yesterday as a result of flooding. How many of us take our lives for granted? I know I have been guilty of this. God please continue to reveal yourself to me and others so that we may continue to do your good work and spread your love.
