The Promise Still Stands

"For all the promises of God find their Yes in him" - 2 Corinthians 1:20

When God makes a promise, He keeps it. That might sound simple, but when you’re in a long season of waiting, it can be hard to hold onto. Maybe you’ve prayed, obeyed, and believed, but nothing seems to be moving. It’s tempting in those moments to assume the promise must not have been real, or that maybe you missed your chance. But what if the delay has nothing to do with denial, and everything to do with development?

God gave Abraham a promise that he would be the father of many nations. Years passed. Still no child. More years passed. Still no fulfillment. And then, finally, in the most unlikely moment, the promise became a reality. Not because Abraham got it all right, but because God always keeps His Word. His promises are not tied to your perfection. They are tied to His faithfulness.

This is what we forget sometimes. We think God has forgotten us, when in reality He’s working behind the scenes, aligning things we cannot see, preparing us for what He’s about to do. The timing might stretch your faith, but it is never random. God is not slow like we think of slowness. He is precise. He is purposeful.

Whatever God has spoken over your life, you don’t need to manipulate or manufacture the outcome. You don’t need to rush the process. What He said, He will do. That includes the personal things, the family prayers, the dreams you’ve buried, and the calling you’re still stepping into. If it came from God, it still holds power.

Hold onto the promise. Keep walking in obedience. Let your heart be anchored in the truth that God has never broken a single promise, and He is not going to start with you.

Thank you Pastor Ed. We are really looking forward to church today. It’s easy to get all stressed out and sometimes i have got down in to the dumps even. The Bible holds a great deal of promises but without God giving me my own personal experience I’m not sure if I would be able to keep the faith. Just one thing came to mind today. He said “I won’t drink from this cup again until I drink it with you in heaven.” I don’t think i have ever heard God speak to me any long explanations. He doesn’t have to use a lot of words like i do but everything He says holds enormous power. I am very grateful that His faithfulness stays true regardless of any and all circumstances.

Just wait on the Lord. Its all on God's time. Not ours. The same as the rapture its in his time. But always be looking up. Be ready for his coming. This is what an old Christian frien of mine would always say. Keep looking up.Its on his time, trust me God has Blessed me when I wait on him.
