Power in the Middle of the Mess

"But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" - 2 Corinthians 12:9

You may feel like you are in the thick of it right now. Life feels loud. Pressure is rising. You are trying to stay faithful, but it seems like the weight just keeps stacking. And in those moments, it is easy to assume that God’s power will show up later, once the dust settles. But that is not how He works.

God does not wait for the storm to pass to show His strength. He steps into the chaos. His power is not distant or delayed. It is present and active in the middle of your mess. The moment you think you are too overwhelmed to keep going is often the moment God begins to do something supernatural in you.

It is in your lowest, weakest, most uncertain places that God’s power is the most visible. Why? Because when you are strong, you lean on yourself. But when you have nothing left, He becomes your only source. And in that place, His strength is not just enough. It is more than enough.

You are not in this moment alone. You are not expected to carry it all by yourself. God’s power is not a reward for the strong. It is a lifeline for the desperate. And it becomes clearest when you stop pretending you have it all together and instead ask Him to carry what you cannot.

If you are in the thick of it today, do not wait for things to settle before you look for God. Look right now. He is here. And His power is showing up in ways you may not even see yet, but you will. Keep walking. His strength will carry you further than your own ever could.

Lately, my family has been going through it. The division in believers hurts me. Today’s words struck something within me. Thank you, Jesus, for your timing in guiding me. Thank you for my amazing pastor.

Amen. God's power is evident in my life now. I was literally at the end of my rope with how to make ends meet. God reminded me that I am to not to worry, first. And that second, He is the God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. That I am to pray for my "daily bread" and let that be sufficient enough for my needs. Thank you Jesus. Humbly grateful for your love and grace.

Thank you so much. As a hospice chaplain and a chaplain at a private school- for children, parents and staff, many times I find myself dragging. I have to rely on Gods grace and strength. Your message serves as a reminder that He carries me and I can soar with wings as an eagle. Greatly appreciate you Pastor Ed. Just have to say we’re so excited about the west campus. It’s literally seven minutes from us.

Thank you Pastor Ed. Thank you God. He has been showing up talking to me. He told me this verse yesterday as well as the Bible app daily verse last night while talking to a friend. But more so than that I appreciate your words of encouragement. Sometimes it’s hard and I start carrying this load. I’ve started carrying it again lately. So many good things happening too. Love you guys. I’ll keep praying to God for help.
