Dr. Ed Newton is the lead pastor of Community Bible Church (CBC) in San Antonio, Texas. CBC is a 27,000-member multigenerational, multicultural congregation of disciple-makers who seek to be the good news of Jesus to every person in every place. With a background in evangelism and student ministry, Ed has a desire to speak to students and adults on revival, evangelism, and discipleship.
Ed holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Church Ministries from Clearwater Christian College, Clearwater, Florida, a Master’s in Religious Education from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee, a Master’s in Divinity, and a Doctorate of Ministry in Pulpit Communication from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana. He is also the author of several books, aimed at equipping and challenging readers to look more like Jesus. Ed and his wife, Stephanie, live in San Antonio with their four children.
