God Doesn’t Need You to Have It All Together
"But he said to me My grace is sufficient for you for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses so that the power of Christ may rest upon me" - 2 Corinthians 12:9
If you’ve ever felt like you’re not smart enough, holy enough, talented enough, or strong enough for God to use you, you’re exactly the kind of person He’s looking for. God has never required perfection. He’s never waited on people to get their act together before calling them. What He looks for is availability, not ability. He does not call the qualified. He qualifies the called.
You might look at your past and see a list of reasons why you’re disqualified. But God sees someone He can mold and fill with His Spirit. You might compare yourself to someone else and feel like you fall short. God’s not interested in your comparisons. He’s interested in your yes.
If you wait until you feel ready, you’ll miss what God is trying to do in you and through you right now. God has a habit of using the overlooked, the unprepared, and the underdog. He used fishermen, tax collectors, and shepherds to shake the world. And He wants to use you, too. Not someday. But today.
You don’t have to know the whole plan. You just need to say yes to the next step. When God calls you, He already knows your weaknesses. He is not surprised by your limitations. In fact, those limitations become the stage where His power shines the brightest.
So instead of backing down or waiting until you feel qualified, step out in faith. Trust that God will equip you as you go. The very things you think disqualify you may be the very things He uses to show others His grace and strength. If you feel unworthy, good. That’s where grace begins. And God always finishes what He starts.

This has been the hardest run I’ve had working thus far. So tired I fell asleep at the wheel atleast 3 times and just falling apart. But God has heard my prayers and carried me through. He has not left me on my own or ignored my cries for help. I am grateful and while I may be falling behind because of Him I am not lost and left to fall. Thank you Jesus and all the help you also have given Pastor Ed.
I just went through a breakup of an avoidant man, I have not had the chance for a relationship in over 15 years, I took all the breadcrumbs this man left until I asked myself out loud what am I doing? That day I went to church for the first time in 3 years, and Dr.Ed’s service was talking about being anxious it aproke so much to me, this morning I woke up crying not understanding why his has left me with no husband to walk through life with. How that far and why didn’t I’d love me. I asked to be slammed in the face of why, and then I open my email and find today’s bible study and it’s a direct hit to my heart this is why. To break me and rebuild in his word. But I don’t know where to go from here?
Brandy I haven’t been in that specific circumstance but I have been lost. Many times. Every time I’ve called out to Jesus for help He has come and transformed my life. I feel compelled also to share with you that CBC Cares is here for us as well. Now I haven’t gone to them personally. Just called out to God for support and followed His breadcrumbs instead of someone else’s. But hey I’m pretty sure when we as a church come together to help each other that miraculous things take place. I hope you reach out and find your home here with us. This is what real hope can be if you take that first step.
I know how painful a relationship like this is and it took so much courage for you to take care of yourself and leave. I pray God restores double to you what you've lost. He can do that! I pray that what CJ shared helps you. CJ, that was wonderful that you replied the way you did. God bless you for that! You are not alone Brandy. I pray God comforts and guides you to all the healing you need. xoxo

It’s amazing how God’s timing is perfect all the time. As I was walking into the 2pm service yesterday, I was telling my girlfriend I had a lot of thoughts racing through my mind and cannot find the way to address them. My worry has been bigger than my time with God. Pastor Newton delivered such as a beautiful message which provided me with God saying I am always here!
many times I've felt and keep feeling like I'm not qualified or ready and God keeps telling me that I don't need to be, he calls me to be available instead and that's what I want to be obedient about, thanks Pastor Ed, may God bless your life and thanks for being so transparent in sharing your own life experiences during your preachings
