Approaching The Throne With Confidence

"Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” - Hebrews 4:16

Prayer is not begging a reluctant God to help you; it's approaching a loving Father who delights in your presence. You don't have to clean up your act before you come to Him. You don't have to use fancy words or follow a formula. You can come boldly and confidently because Jesus has opened the way.

Before Christ, only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies, and only once a year. But when Jesus died on the cross, the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom, symbolizing that the way to God was now open for everyone. You have access to the throne room of the universe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Many people struggle with prayer because they feel unworthy or inadequate. They think God is too busy or too holy to be bothered with their problems. But the invitation to come boldly is not based on your worthiness; it's based on Christ's worthiness. He has made you worthy to approach the throne.

When my children were young, they never hesitated to run to me when they needed something. They didn't worry about whether I was too busy or whether their problem was too small. They knew I loved them and wanted to help them. That's how God wants you to approach Him in prayer.

Spend time in prayer today, focusing on the fact that you have been invited to approach God's throne with confidence. Share your heart openly with Him, knowing that He delights in your presence.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for inviting me to come boldly to Your throne of grace. Help me to pray with confidence, knowing that I am welcome in Your presence because of Jesus. Thank You for caring about every detail of my life. I am grateful that I can talk to You anytime, anywhere, about anything. In Jesus' name, Amen.
