God-Sized Dreams

"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” - Ephesians 3:20

God wants to do more through your life than you can imagine. He has placed dreams and desires in your heart that are bigger than your ability to accomplish them. That's intentional. He wants you to depend on Him for the impossible so that He gets the glory when it happens.

Many people settle for small dreams because they are afraid of disappointment or failure. They would rather set low expectations and meet them than set high expectations and fall short. But God is not honored by your small thinking. He is glorified when you trust Him for things that only He can do.

The dreams God gives you are not just about personal success; they are about kingdom impact. He wants to use your gifts, talents, and passions to make a difference in the world. Your dreams should be big enough to require God's power and specific enough to bring Him glory.

When God called Abraham to leave his homeland, He didn't tell him the final destination. He just said, "Go to the land that I will show you." Abraham had to trust God one step at a time. Sometimes God reveals His plans gradually so that you learn to depend on Him rather than your own understanding.

What is one God-sized dream that you have been afraid to pursue? Take one small step toward that dream today, trusting God to provide what you need.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for placing dreams in my heart that are bigger than my ability to accomplish. Help me to trust You with my dreams and to take steps of faith even when I can't see the whole plan. Do far more than I can ask or imagine through my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank you Lord that you are able to do far more abundantly that I can ask or think.

God sized dreams… That’s a lot. Read this earlier and then revisiting now after a full day. Saw a sermon today talking about another verse and the word suddenly. It helped me remember that in the blink of an eye God can change so much. He has done it to me before. Everything looked so bad and certainly wasn’t getting better any time soon, but then God just changed everything with one touch. That’s all it takes for Him. So even if I’m waiting until the 13th hour it’s never too late for God to step in and change things. Picturing a little Bruce Almighty with Jim Carey too. Sometimes when He steps in I look at it all stunned because as far as I can tell it didn’t even change. It’s the way it has always been and I just didn’t know it yet. You know, because He is God. You can’t argue with God. Thy will be done.
