Financial Contentment
"Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.’” - Hebrews 13:5
Money is not evil, but the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. There is a difference between having money and money having you. Financial contentment is not about how much you have in the bank; it is about your heart's relationship with what you have been given.
The writer of Hebrews connects financial contentment to God's presence. When we truly believe that God will never leave us or forsake us, we can trust Him to provide what we need. We do not have to hoard, manipulate, or worry our way to security. Our security is in the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills.

Remember, everything you have is a gift from God's hand, and He can be trusted to continue providing for your needs.
Financial contentment frees you to be generous, strategic, and peaceful with money. It allows you to use your resources as tools for God's kingdom rather than as trophies for your ego. When you find your security in God's presence, you can hold your possessions with an open hand.

Father, help me to keep my life free from the love of money. I confess that sometimes I trust in my bank account more than I trust in Your faithfulness. Teach me to be content with what You have given me and to be generous with others. Remind me that my security is not in what I have but in who You are.
