God’s Providence

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” - Ephesians 3:20

God’s providence will always get you to His purpose. You aren’t powerful enough to stop God in your life. God’s going to get you to where He wants you to be. He’s made a commitment to do so, but sometimes you’ve got to take the long way to get there because you just haven’t learned your lesson.

God tells us to do something, but for some reason, we pump the brakes on God. God’s like, “No, no, this is not the way it’s supposed to go” and as a result, we’ve to learn the hard way. But even then, we cannot outrun God. We cannot escape what He wants to do with our lives.

Whether we are quick to obey, or it takes us a little longer to come around, God’s purpose will ultimately prevail. “But pastor, God gives us free will. We can make choices that go against His plan for us.” Yes, we absolutely can. But that is when God will oftentimes align circumstances that bring us back to Him and His will.

The question becomes, how badly do you want to live the best version of your life? Because God’s way is always the best way. What God has in mind for you is far greater than anything you can imagine. Ephesians 3:20 confirms this and says, “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.”

God will get you to His purpose. And when He does, you will feel fulfilled. You will be at peace. Your life will have purpose and meaning. And best of all? You will be smack-dab in the middle of God’s will, exactly where He wants you to be. Now, you can go the short way, and be obedient now. Or you can take the long way, and continue to resist Him. The choice is yours. What are you going to do?
