Renewed Mind, Renewed Life
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." - Romans 12:2
Your mind is the battlefield where your future is won or lost. What you think about consistently shapes who you eventually become. If you want to change your life, you cannot just change your behavior; you must change your thoughts.
Renewing your mind isn't just about positive thinking or self-help mantras; it is about biblical thinking. It is the active process of replacing the world's lies with God's truth. It means swapping fear for faith, doubt for confidence, and criticism for gratitude. This process takes time and intentionality because the pattern of this world is to worry, to obsess over self, and to seek revenge. We have to actively program our minds with Scripture to break the default patterns of the world. When your mind is renewed, your life follows suit naturally.
I used to struggle with a loop of negative thought patterns that kept me stuck in insecurity, causing me to wake up dreading the day. One day, a mentor challenged me to stop listening to myself and start talking to myself. I began filling my mind with God's Word first thing in the morning instead of the news or my own worries. Slowly, my perspective shifted, and the same stressful situations looked different through the lens of Scripture.
Choose one negative thought pattern you want to change. Find a Bible verse that speaks the opposite truth into that area and write it on a card. Carry it with you and repeat it whenever the negative thought tries to surface.
Father, renew my mind with Your truth. Help me to think Your thoughts and see life from Your perspective. Transform my thinking so that my living reflects Your glory and goodness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

When you renew yourself to the Lord life become alot easier.
Thank you Pastor Ed. The drive to location this morning felt like I was preparing for battle. That song cycles by Jonathan McReynolds came on and it reminded me that there is a battle to be had. My job and it’s a very small portion of the action is to examine my life with the light of Christ revealing the truth. Old patterns of behavior and thought processes automatically take the lead unless i become aware of my “surroundings” lol. I noticed some of it the other day. Like wow hold up. That’s not the truth. The truth is that God is absolutely in charge. Once I know everything is going to be ok the fear that drives those patterns subsides and I can start to be useful and kind again. It’s 24 degrees here drilling for oil in the mountains of New Mexico. Yesterday we got a foot of snow and I barely made it to work. It’s cold Ed. Very cold. But God is good and He prepared me for all good works ahead of time. I really appreciate you Pastor. Can you imagine how many lives are being saved here because of you doing this? God bless you

Thank you, Pastor Ed, for allowing God to speak/ write thru you. This is the exact message I needed today. I appreciate the practical, yet powerful, way of applying the Word in our everyday life. I just wrote my verse on a small piece of paper - "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. " - Phil 4:13.
