Living By Faith
"The righteous will live by faith." - Romans 1:17
Faith is not a warm, fuzzy feeling; it is a deliberate choice. It is not about having all the answers or seeing the end from the beginning, but about trusting the One who does. Faith steps forward even when the path is shrouded in fog.
Living by faith means trusting God's character when you cannot see His plan and believing His promises when your current circumstances suggest the opposite. Faith does not require perfect understanding; it requires perfect trust. Every single day, you are presented with opportunities to choose faith over fear, trust over doubt, and hope over despair. The righteous don't just visit faith occasionally; they live by it. It is their operating system that determines how they handle their money, their relationships, and their crises.
When I was first called to ministry, I had absolutely no idea how God would provide for my growing family because the numbers on paper didn't add up. But we felt God leading us, so we stepped out in faith. It was scary, but God proved Himself faithful every step of the way as checks came in the mail unexpectedly and needs were met in miraculous ways. Faith is like a muscle; the more you use it, the stronger it gets. That season of relying on Him built a foundation of trust that still holds me today.
Identify one area of your life where you need to exercise more faith. Is it your finances, your children, or your health? Take one small, concrete step of obedience in that direction today.
Lord, please increase my faith. Help me to trust You completely, even when I cannot see the way forward. Give me the courage to live by faith and not by sight. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank you. You know, I’m kinda moved here this morning. Pretty cool thing to see. Out of all the things you could ever be as a Pastor you excel. I’m sure if someone tried they could pick apart everything you say and judge. But all that stuff aside you do this this morning. You are also kind. Very kind. Thank you for that, and im gonna just use your name here as it’s appropriate, Ed.
I have been there. God is faithful. Keep praying and trusting. I needed this message today as I needed it when my ex stepped out of the marriage covenant. I am a single mom as well and by the grace of God I am standing and He has provided everything.
I was just doing my bill and I am 1000 short. I cried and I wonder how I am going to make it this month. I am a single mom, who loves a husband that doesn't want to be with me. As I checked my email your message was in my inbox. God was sending me a clear message-Trust in him and choose to have faith. I am working so hard to pay my bills and be able to once again have a house again and a reliable car. I will choose to trust him and have faith. When fear and panic come up, I will choose faith over fear, trust over doubt and hope over despair. Thank you for your message it was right on time.
