Victory Is Now
“But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” - 1 Corinthians 15:57
Many believers quietly live with the idea that victory is something far off in the distance. You hope things will get better one day. You pray that freedom will come eventually. You wait for a future moment when your struggles will finally loosen their grip. Scripture tells a different story. The victory you need is not waiting for a distant tomorrow. Through Christ, it is already yours today. His power is not a future promise. It is a present reality.
Look at the way Jesus interacted with people who were hurting or bound. He did not tell them to come back when they felt stronger. He did not tell them to earn freedom through behavior or effort. His presence changed everything in the moment. Lives shifted instantly. Fear lost its hold. Darkness retreated. Those stories reveal something important about the heart of God. His power is active now, not later. His victory is available now, not someday.
Understanding this changes how you face your battles. Instead of fighting for victory, you begin fighting from victory. You stand in what Christ has already accomplished instead of trying to earn something that has already been given. The enemy wants you to believe you are losing ground, but the finished work of Jesus says otherwise. The cross defeated sin. The resurrection crushed death. The Spirit within you carries authority stronger than anything that rises against you.
This does not mean every struggle disappears overnight, but it does mean you never enter a battle alone or empty-handed. When discouragement rises, you do not fight as someone hoping for a win. You fight as someone who stands on ground already claimed by Christ. When temptation appears, you face it with strength that does not come from your own willpower. When fear whispers lies, you answer with truth that cannot be shaken.
Take a moment to consider where you have been living with a someday mindset. Maybe you have told yourself you will overcome when life settles down or when circumstances improve. God invites you to step into victory right now. His power lives in you right now. Freedom begins right now. You are not fighting to earn a future victory. You are standing in a victory Jesus already secured. Victory is not distant. It is here. It is present. It is yours in Christ.

The glory is all yours dear Jesus,Amen
Amen!
Oh my goodness! I am about to retire again and (I’m being transparent here), I allowed concern to come over me. What if our SS is not enough? I mean after losing our savings in 2020 and refusing help from the government for small business owners. We trusted God. I went back to work at age 77 in May. I needed this message Pastor Ed to remind me, My God is faithful and He is a good, good Father. He will supply all my needs according to His infallible Word. Thank you.
Amen!
Amen!!
I consider it 'resting in' victory instead of 'fighting for' victory. Why would I fight battles that have already been won? All I have to do to overcome is chill. God's got this. Just trust Him. He's been there, done that. Don't start the battle again!
AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!!!! PRAISE AND GLORY IN THE HIGHEST TO THE ONE WHO IS LARGE AND IN CHARGE! IJN ???
Beautiful words of encouragement! He is the alpha and omega! All glory to GOD! Amen ? ??
