God Has Not Forgotten You

"Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you." - Isaiah 49:15

There are moments in life when it feels like God has forgotten you. You pray, you wait, you stay faithful, but nothing changes. The silence stretches on, and doubt starts creeping in. Did God forget about me? Does He even see me?

Joseph knew that feeling. He had done everything right. He remained faithful to God when he was betrayed, when he was sold into slavery, and even when he was falsely accused and thrown into prison. And still... nothing. Days turned into months. Months turned into years. And as he sat in that prison, forgotten by people, it would have been easy to believe he was forgotten by God too.

But God never forgot Joseph. He had a plan all along. Even when Joseph couldn’t see it, God was working behind the scenes. There was an appointed time for Joseph’s release, a perfect moment when everything would align. And when that moment came, Joseph wasn’t just freed, he was promoted to the second most powerful man in Egypt.

The same is true for you. Just because your situation hasn’t changed doesn’t mean God has abandoned you. Just because you feel stuck doesn’t mean His plan for you is over. The silence doesn’t mean He isn’t moving; it just means He’s working in ways you can’t yet see.

God never forgets His children. He never overlooks your faithfulness. He never loses track of where you are. He is preparing something greater, something beyond what you could imagine. But you have to trust His timing.

Remind yourself of this truth today: God sees you. God knows you. God has a plan for you. Hold on. Keep believing. Your story isn’t over, and when the time is right, He will move you forward in ways you never expected.

Thanks for sharing this powerful verse. I know God still on His throne and see my suffering but yet He still has a plan for me and my son despite the challenges we've been through.
