Something Has to Change

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." – John 8:36

Labels are powerful. Maybe you have been called something so often that you started believing it was true. You are not smart enough. You are not strong enough. You will never be more than what you are right now. These words start as someone else’s opinion, but over time, they stick. They shape how you see yourself. And if you are not careful, they will control how you live.

When you believe the wrong things about yourself, it does not just stay in your thoughts. It affects your emotions, and those emotions shape your feelings. Feelings do not just disappear. They linger, turning into moods. And if that mood lingers too long, it can drag you into a state of anxiety, depression, or fear. Before you even realize it, you are stuck in a cycle that feels impossible to break.

Maybe you have been there. Maybe you are there now. You feel overwhelmed by emotions you cannot explain. You find yourself stuck in bed, avoiding the world. The motivation is gone. The energy is gone. You do not even know how to put it into words. Life keeps moving, but you feel like you are standing still.

Here is the truth. God never intended for you to live stuck. He never created you to be defined by labels other people placed on you. If you are going to step into the life he has for you, something has to change. The world will tell you to just change your behavior, but it is deeper than that. Change starts with what you believe.

If you do not like who you are becoming, then something has to shift. You cannot keep doing the same things and expect a different result. You have to believe that God’s truth is greater than the labels. You have to believe that you are not your past, not your mistakes, not what people have said about you. When your belief changes, your behavior follows. And when your behavior changes, your entire life shifts.

You do not have to stay stuck. You do not have to keep carrying the weight of false labels. If the Son has set you free, you are free indeed. Walk in that freedom today.

It’s been said you can’t think your way into right living but you can act your way into right thinking. That can be pretty difficult but God says with Him anything is possible. I have found that to be astonishingly true.
