What Are You Doing with the Power?

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." – Acts 1:8

The power of the Holy Spirit is not a theory. It is not an idea to study or a concept to debate. It is real, active, and available to you right now. When the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, it was not a quiet moment. It was a supernatural event that shook the room. A sound like a mighty rushing wind filled the house. Tongues of fire rested on each of them. The promise Jesus had given was no longer something to wait for. It was happening.

John the Baptist had spoken of this moment when he said, “I baptize you with water, but there is one coming who will baptize you with water and with fire.” That fire was the power of the Holy Spirit, filling every believer and marking them for a purpose.

That same power is available to you. The question is not whether you have access to it. The question is, what are you doing with it?

When the Holy Spirit came upon the believers, they did not sit in the upper room and keep the experience to themselves. They immediately stepped into their calling. Peter, who had once denied Jesus out of fear, stood up and boldly preached the gospel to thousands. The same man who had been afraid to acknowledge Jesus in front of a servant girl now stood before a crowd declaring that Jesus was Lord. That is what the power of the Holy Spirit does. It transforms you from the inside out and gives you the boldness to step into your purpose.

Maybe you have been playing it safe. Maybe you believe in the Holy Spirit but have never truly walked in His power. It is not enough to know that He dwells within you. You have to activate that power by stepping out in faith.

What is holding you back? Fear? Doubt? Uncertainty? The disciples were in the same place before the Holy Spirit came. But once they received His power, everything changed. The same can happen for you. The power of the Holy Spirit is not just for knowledge. It is for action. You have been filled. Now it is time to move.
