Live Like the Stone Has Been Rolled Away
"Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen." - Luke 24:5-6
Easter is not just a day to celebrate an event. It is a call to live in the reality of what happened when Jesus walked out of the grave. The stone was rolled away, death was defeated, and everything changed. But the question is, are you living like it?
Too many people believe in the resurrection but still live as if they are stuck in the tomb. They are held back by shame, weighed down by fear, and trapped in cycles of doubt, regret, or insecurity. They celebrate the empty grave on Sunday but wake up on Monday still carrying the weight of a past that Jesus already conquered.
The resurrection was never meant to be just a historical fact. It was meant to be the defining truth of your life. Jesus did not rise from the dead so you could stay stuck. He rose so you could walk in freedom, knowing that the same power that raised Him is now alive in you.
The stone was rolled away, but have you walked out? Have you left behind the things that Jesus has already defeated? Have you let go of the sin, the shame, the fear, the doubts that He already carried to the cross? Easter is not just about what happened to Him, it is about what that victory means for you.
You do not have to live like a prisoner to the past. You do not have to walk in defeat. You do not have to stay in places that Jesus has called you out of. The grave could not hold Him, and it cannot hold you either.
This week, live like the stone has been rolled away. Let the resurrection be more than a Sunday celebration. Let it be the way you live every single day: with boldness, with joy, with freedom, and with confidence that nothing can separate you from the love and power of your risen Savior.

Amen. Thank you. I want to also take a look and walk away from anything still remaining too. I pray that I may be shown a fuller picture of what that even looks like. We love you Pastor Ed. We love you cbc.
