Immeasurably More
"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us." – Ephesians 3:20
When you lay something down, you are not just giving something up. You are making space for something greater. God never asks you to surrender without having something better in store. He is not trying to take from you. He is trying to bless you with the immeasurably more.
But that cannot happen if you are still clinging to your own way. You cannot receive what God has for you when your hands are full of what you refuse to release. You may think your plan is best, but what if God has something far beyond what you could ever imagine?
In Ephesians, Paul reminds us that God is able to do far more than anything we could ask or even think. That means His vision for your life is greater than yours. His plans are better. His provision is beyond what you could ever provide for yourself. But so often, people settle. They hold onto their own way, thinking they know what is best, all while missing what God is ready to pour into their lives.
When you finally surrender, you give God room to move. You open the door for Him to lead you into a life you could never create on your own. You let go of what is temporary and receive what is eternal. You stop striving for control and start walking in peace.
You will never regret surrendering to God. No one has ever looked back and said, "I wish I had held onto my own way longer." Every time you trust Him, every time you lay something down, He proves Himself faithful. He gives more joy, more freedom, and more purpose than you ever thought possible.
God wants to do immeasurably more in your life. The question is, will you trust Him enough to let Him? Let go of your own way and make room for what He has been waiting to give you all along.

The phrase “thank you sir. May I have another” comes to mind. Yes. Please. God has done so much for me and my answer is yes. Please. I’ll take more of anything He has to offer. I was listening to a few people talk last night about how much their life has changed since they turned to God for help. I felt so grateful. He’s really done some impressive things. Thank you for reminding me again that Gods not done. As things have gotten so good it starts looking normal again and then the struggles become easy to focus on instead of the bigger picture.
Thank you!! I needed to hear this today. I’m trying really hard to surrender it to the Lord with especially what has been done to me. Please lift me up in prayer the struggle is real and tiring
