Walk in Power

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." – John 10:10

When you start walking in the power God has given you, things change. Lives are impacted. The power that God is working in your life and the power you display because of Him can break chains and set you free. That’s what living the abundant life is all about.

The enemy’s mission is clear: to steal, kill, and destroy. But Jesus came to give you life—real, abundant life. And that’s not just something you’ll experience in heaven someday. It’s meant for right here, right now, in the middle of your daily life.

This isn’t about prosperity or chasing after stuff. This is about something far deeper. It’s about peace that passes all understanding. It’s about knowing God is with you, no matter what you face. It’s about hearing Him whisper in your darkest moments, “You are not alone. I am making all things new in you.”

But here’s where the struggle comes in. Sometimes, your behavior doesn’t match up with what you say you believe. Sometimes, the way you live doesn’t align with what God is doing in your life to transform you into who He’s called you to be. That disconnect, the gap, needs to be addressed.

This isn’t about trying harder or simply being better. It’s about recognizing that when you lay something down before God, you have to put something else in that gap. Not just something that’s “less bad” but something completely different. You need a fresh mindset, a new life set. Clarity about the cycles that have kept you stuck and intentional action to replace them with something that draws you closer to God.

The abundant life Jesus offers isn’t found in perfection. It’s found in surrender. It’s found in being intentional about what fills the gaps in your life. Walk in His power and watch Him transform you from the inside out.

Amen! What an awkward place that can be too. I have found a lot of freedom in surrender. It’s become my treasured place of joy. I tell you what though. I wish I could sing even half way good lol. Two songs from this reading today. Fresh start and cycles. That’s how the devil keeps you in cycles. Cycles. He learns from your mistakes even if you don’t. I tell you what. I used to play this game as a kid kind of obsessively. Final Fantasy III on Super Nintendo. And the main character was an evil soldier who broke free and later had to battle himself. At the end of the battle he became a holy soldier. A paladin. I always lost the battle. It was only when I surrendered that I found out why i would never have won. I wasn’t fighting myself. I was fighting God.
