Walking in the Anointing
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." – Acts 1:8
When you walk in your anointing, it’s not just about you. It’s about what God wants to do through you to reach others. Your talent is a gift from God, but your anointing is the power of the Holy Spirit working through that gift. And that power was never meant to just make you look good. It was meant to change lives.
Your ability might get you compliments. People might recognize that you’re good at what you do and celebrate your talent. But your anointing is something different. It’s the power of God flowing through you that brings healing, freedom, and hope to those around you. It’s when people encounter God’s presence because you’re walking in His Spirit.
The anointing of God in your life isn’t about you flexing your gifts for others to admire. It’s about you being so filled with the Holy Spirit that His power overflows from your life into the lives of everyone you encounter. It’s about Him getting the glory, not you.
Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses...” That power is given to you for a purpose. Not just so you can feel good about your abilities, but so you can make a difference in the Kingdom of God.
Your talent might impress people. But your anointing breaks chains. Your anointing sets people free. Your anointing leads people to Jesus. And the beautiful thing about walking in your anointing is that it’s not about your strength at all. It’s about His strength working through you.
Are you willing to be filled up to spill out? To let God use your life to make a real, eternal impact? When you walk in your anointing, you can walk in the supernatural. And God can do things through you that you could never do on your own.
