There’s No Limit
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." – 1 John 1:9
There is no cap on God’s grace. No limit on how many times you can come back. No point where God throws His hands up and says, “That’s enough, I’m done with you.” You may have heard that from people. You may have told it to yourself. But that is not the voice of your Father.
His love is not measured by your performance. His mercy is not based on your track record. He does not forgive you once and then watch with His arms crossed, waiting for you to mess up again. He does not count your failures or keep score of how many times you’ve come running back. His arms are open today just like they were yesterday, and they’ll be open tomorrow too.
We sometimes put human limitations on God’s love. Because people give up on us, we assume God will too. Because people get tired of forgiving, we expect God to run out of patience. But the truth is, His ways are higher than ours. His mercy is new every single morning. His forgiveness is available every single time you ask.
That doesn’t mean we take grace lightly or sin casually. It means we stop running from the One who loves us most. You will never exhaust His forgiveness. You will never surprise Him with your sin. He’s not shaken by your struggle. He’s simply waiting for you to come home.
If you think you've blown it too many times, let me remind you of the cross. Jesus didn't die so you could be forgiven once. He died to offer you a lifetime of grace. As many times as it takes. 1 John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us. That is a promise. Not once. Every time.
No number is too high. No mistake is too big. Just come back. Again. And again. And again.
