Joy Because of Jesus
“We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” – Romans 5:2
If you are following Jesus, joy isn’t something you have to force. It’s something you get to carry. And the reason you can carry it is because of the hope you have in Him.
The world ties joy to outcomes. If the bills are paid, the family is healthy, and the job is going well, then you’re supposed to be joyful. But what happens when life doesn’t go according to plan? What happens when the waiting drags on or the heartbreak sets in? That’s when most people lose their sense of joy, because they were trying to build it on the wrong foundation.
But joy built on hope in Jesus? That’s different. That kind of joy says, “Even if I don’t see it yet, I still believe God is moving.” It says, “Even if I’m in the middle of the storm, I know He has not left me.”
You can have joy because your current circumstances are never final. Not with Jesus. The thing that looks stuck, the part of your life that feels broken, the waiting that seems like it’s never going to end. He can flip all of it in a moment.
Joy comes from knowing He is not finished. He is still writing your story. He is still working things out behind the scenes. And He is working all things together for your good. That doesn’t mean life will be easy. But it does mean you’re never going through it alone.
You can rejoice in hope, because your hope is in a God who sees the whole picture. A God who knows exactly what you need and when you need it. A God who always has your best interest at heart.
Let that truth steady your heart. Let it reshape how you think and how you walk. This is not the end of your story. You can have joy today, not because everything is perfect, but because you trust the One who is.
