When It Looks Like It's Falling Apart

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” - Romans 8:28

Sometimes the worst moments in life look like total defeat. Maybe you’ve been there. It feels like everything is unraveling, like the bottom just fell out, and the future you pictured is slipping away. But what if God isn’t done yet? What if what looks like destruction is really preparation for something far greater?

The document we’re pulling from makes that clear. Paul was writing from a prison cell, knowing full well that his life could end any day. And still, he spoke with power and confidence, not just about the gospel but about how God uses everything for good. Not some things. All things. Including the pain, the loss, the confusion, and even the places that feel like failure.

You might not be where you want to be. You might not see a way out of what you’re facing. But the promise still stands. God is working. And what looks like it’s falling apart could actually be falling into place. He specializes in turning trials into testimonies and pain into purpose.

We do not worship a God who only shows up in the highlight reel. He is in the middle of the mess. And just like Paul, who saw God’s hand move even in chains, you can trust that your current struggle is not the end of your story. If you love Him, He’s using even this for your good.

That doesn’t mean you’ll always feel it. It doesn’t mean everything will be easy. But it does mean you can have peace even in the chaos, because the God who holds your eternity also holds your today.

So when it looks like everything is going wrong, trust the One who knows how to make it all right. He’s not finished. And what He’s doing in you will be worth every single moment it took to get there.
