You Were Created for More
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them" - Ephesians 2:10
If you are reading this, you need to understand something. God did not make you to drift through life just trying to survive. You were not created to blend in, keep quiet, and settle for less than what God planned. You were made for something more. Eternity was written into your heart by the hands of the Creator Himself, and there is purpose pulsing in your life, whether you feel it or not.
Sometimes we get stuck in routines that shrink our vision. We tell ourselves stories like I’m not qualified, I’ve made too many mistakes, I don’t have enough, or it’s too late for me. But God doesn’t speak in those voices. His Word speaks of calling, purpose, mission, and meaning. You are His workmanship. That means He shaped you on purpose. He planted gifts in you. He positioned you in this generation and this place because there’s something He wants to do through you.
This isn’t about being famous or having a big platform. Living for more means living for Kingdom impact. It means waking up with the mindset that your life is a weapon for light in a dark world. You might not have the spotlight, but you can still shine. You might not preach on stages, but you can still speak life into someone today. You might feel ordinary, but with God, there’s no such thing as an ordinary life.
Do not let fear hold you back. Do not let past pain or current pressure convince you to play small. You were created to walk boldly in the plans God set in motion before you were even born. And the best part is you don’t have to figure it all out alone. The same God who created the purpose will walk with you every step of the way as you live it out.
You were made for more than survival. You were made to bring glory to God. So stop shrinking, stop doubting, and start stepping into the life you were made for.

Thank you so much for this Pastor Ed. I really needed to hear this today. My grandmother had a hunch which caused her to have a great deal of back pain. So she would record her tv shows during the day and then stay up on the couch watching them at night to fall asleep. It’s felt like I’ve been watching those old programs the past couple days. Only these were really bad times in my life instead of game shows. There is something different though. Now I’m walking with Jesus. Cycles - Jonathan McReynolds. Here’s where i find out I’m not walking in cycles. I am so glad that my old life ended already. This new life i have been reborn into is so much better. And it’s all because now im walking with our Creator. At the same time it convicts me hand in had with gratitude though. He’s given me something I can never repay. For me to still act like i do sometimes goes against the person i am now. Reading this reminds me of the bigger picture in the spirit so I can focus more on the mission instead of myself. I sure do love you guys and thank you again.
Pastor Ed, thank you for your radical obedience! ?
I often feel so little when I try to be of ministry to someone and get shot down. But i do have hopes and prayers that I can and will help in making more disciples for our Lord. Just to make a difference in one life would bring me much joy. Maybe I have and didn't know it. But I love the idea that my life is a weapon of light in a dark world.
Great words of Confirmation for us and Timely.
