When Obedience Doesn’t Come with Applause

"Am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ" - Galatians 1:10

There will be times in your life when obedience to God makes you look foolish to everyone else. Times when your choice to stay faithful makes no sense to your friends. When your quiet yes to God draws no spotlight, earns no affirmation, and gets no applause. But those are the moments that often matter the most.

Faithfulness isn’t always loud. It’s not always glamorous. Sometimes it looks like showing up again when no one says thank you. Sometimes it’s staying the course when nobody claps for you. Obedience isn’t about performance or validation. It’s about trusting that God sees what no one else does and that He’s keeping score even when no one is watching.

This world craves recognition. We’re trained to chase likes, approval, and applause. But following Jesus means dying to that. It means choosing obedience over popularity and living for an audience of One, even if the crowd never notices.

You don’t have to feel seen by others to be known by God. He sees every quiet yes, every selfless decision, every moment of faithfulness you think went unnoticed. He sees when you walk away from temptation. He sees when you serve without credit. He sees when you choose integrity behind closed doors.

If you’re obeying God but wondering if it even matters because no one seems to care, take heart. You’re not doing it for them. You never were. The reward for obedience doesn’t come from this world anyway. It comes from the One who gave everything for you. And He never misses a moment.

Stay faithful and keep going. God sees you, and that’s enough.

Faithfulness is woth more than you may think. Always stay focused on God. When you do right it gives you a great feeling. Just plain and simple keep looking up and be ready. Don't forget God has chosen you. So if you keep steady and keep serving one day it will all be worth it.

Faith can sometimes come with a price. But, above all, faithfulness & obedience always wins. It fills emptiness, it puts together the brokenness, it provides peace amidst the chaos. Being faithful and obedient to God is the way to breaking the chains of darkness.
