Making Room for God
“Be still, and know that I am God.” - Psalm 46:10
Every December seems to move faster than the one before. The calendar fills up, the noise gets louder, and the pressure to keep up never seems to stop. Even in seasons meant for worship, we often find ourselves rushing from one thing to the next, exhausted and distracted. Yet the story of Christmas is not about how much we can pack in. It is about clearing space for the One who matters most.
Making room for God begins with slowing down. It means choosing stillness when everything around you screams for motion. It means creating margin in your schedule, your thoughts, and your heart so that His presence can actually be felt. You cannot experience the fullness of God if your life is already full of everything else. When your heart is crowded with worry, comparison, or control, there is no room left for peace.
God will not compete with your distractions. He waits to be invited in. Sometimes that means saying no to good things so you can say yes to what is best. It might mean putting your phone down to spend time in prayer, turning off the noise to hear His voice, or letting go of something that has taken His place in your heart. Real growth begins when you stop adding more and start surrendering what you already have.
You were created to live with space for God, not to run on constant overflow. He is not looking for a decorated corner of your life. He is looking for the center. When you make room for Him, peace begins to settle in the spaces where anxiety once ruled. Joy replaces exhaustion. Hope starts to breathe again. The question is simple but personal. In the middle of your full life, will you stop long enough to make room for the One who gave you life?

God will not compete with your distractions. Thank you sir for the encouragement and the reminder. Awesome word!!!!
God is patient with those who he loves that are his own. So just keep your heart open unto him. And clear out the closet of worries, doubt, just Trust through Lord with all your heart.
This waa the one Pastor Ed, man what a great reminder of who we need to be immersed in and to just slow down. Thank You God that in You we can have peace, we just need to make that time for You. Sorry for the places where i haven’t been making that time to slow down, but renew my mind and may i make today the start of something new, to make more quality time with You
