From the Cradle to the Cross

“For the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” - Mark 10:45

Every follower of Jesus must come face-to-face with an important truth. The power of the Christian life is not found in the moments that feel easy or familiar. It is found in the purpose that shaped every step Jesus took on earth. His life was not random. His actions were not accidental. Everything He did pointed toward one mission: to give His life so that you could truly live.

When you look at the story of Jesus, you see a path marked by purpose. He healed the broken, loved the overlooked, taught the confused, and challenged the comfortable. Yet every miracle and every moment was leading toward something greater. He came with the intention of laying down His life for you. The cross was not an interruption to His story. It was the reason He came. The resurrection was not a surprise. It was the victory He came to win.

What does that mean for your life today? It means you were never meant to build your faith on feelings alone. You were meant to build it on the mission of Jesus. His purpose becomes your foundation. His sacrifice becomes your hope. His victory becomes your strength. When life feels confusing or heavy, you do not have to wonder if God cares. The cross is the evidence that He does. When you feel unworthy or uncertain, the resurrection reminds you that your future is secure in Him.

Many people treat faith as something to pick up only when life falls apart. But the mission of Jesus calls you to something deeper. It calls you to live with intentionality, with gratitude, and with surrender. It calls you to trust that the One who gave His life for you will also guide you through the challenges in front of you. You are not trying to earn His love. You are living from the love He already proved.

Let this shape your heart today. Jesus did not come for a moment. He came with a mission. His journey from cradle to cross to resurrection shows you that God finishes what He starts. And the same God who completed His purpose will be faithful to complete His work in you.
