Contagious Freedom
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” - 2 Corinthians 3:17
Freedom is contagious. When people see the genuine freedom you have in Christ, they want what you have. Your life becomes a testimony to the power of the gospel to transform hearts and change destinies. You become an agent of freedom in a world full of bondage.
People are drawn to authenticity and repelled by pretense. When you are real about your struggles and honest about your dependence on God's grace, others feel permission to be real too. Your vulnerability creates a safe space for others to share their burdens and find hope.
You don't have to have a perfect life to influence others for Christ. In fact, your struggles and how God has helped you through them often have more impact than your successes. People need to know that following Jesus doesn't eliminate problems but gives you power to overcome them.
Every person you encounter is either moving toward freedom or away from it. Your words, actions, and attitude can influence which direction they choose. You have the opportunity to be a voice of hope in someone's darkness, a hand of help in someone's struggle, and a light of truth in someone's confusion.
Think about someone in your sphere of influence who needs to experience freedom. Pray for them and look for an opportunity to share hope with them this week.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the freedom You have given me and the opportunity to influence others for Your kingdom. Help me to be authentic and real so that others can see Your power in my life. Use me to bring hope and freedom to those who are still in bondage. In Jesus' name, Amen.
