Contentment In Waiting
"Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” - Psalm 27:14
Waiting is one of the most difficult aspects of the Christian life. We live in a culture of instant everything, and when God's timing does not match our timeline, we become restless and discontent. We wonder if God has forgotten us, if He cares about our situation, or if He is even listening to our prayers.
David understood the struggle of waiting. He was anointed as king years before he actually took the throne. He spent those in-between years running from Saul, hiding in caves, and wondering when God's promise would be fulfilled. Yet in the midst of his waiting, he learned to find strength and courage in the Lord.

Prayer:
Lord, waiting is hard for me. I want to see Your promises fulfilled now, but I know Your timing is perfect. Help me to find contentment in the waiting seasons of life. Strengthen my heart and give me courage to trust You even when I cannot see what You are doing. Thank You that You are always working for my good. In Jesus' name, Amen.
