So...?

“But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!” - Isaiah 54:17

Who is against you? Who is it that when you think about what you are trying to do and living out God’s purpose for your life is standing in the way? In a world of “haters” and “trolls,” there are many people who want to deflate your energy.

It might be someone who is not just doubting you, but actually trying to stop you from doing what you are doing. You are trying hard to do something that you believe God has called you to do. It might be building something in a space that was unused. It might be bringing a new idea to your company, or it might be raising awareness for a cause that has been neglected for far too long.

Whatever it is, when you do something big, you will have enemies. There is a saying, “if you don’t have haters, you aren’t doing anything.” So inevitably, when you do something that matters or is going to make a real impact, someone is bound to push back.

What I want you to know is: it doesn’t matter. That’s right, when you are obedient to God and fully pursuing His purposes, it does not matter. You say, “Pastor, you don’t know who my enemies are and what they are trying to do to me.”

So...?

“But pastor, how can you say that?”

It’s not me who says it, it's God. Isaiah 54:17 says, “But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

When you understand how BIG the God you serve is, how powerful He is, and the promises He has made you, then you will be so unworried about the enemy. In their best efforts, you too will say “So...? I have God on my side, and you cannot stand against me.”

Your enemies are no match for your Heavenly Father.
