Reveal Yourself
“I have revealed you to the ones you gave me from this world. They were always yours. You gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they know that everything I have is a gift from you, for I have passed on to them the message you gave me. They accepted it and know that I came from you, and they believe you sent me.” - John 17:6-8
Yesterday, we discussed the realness of Jesus Christ. Whether it is God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit, the Holy Trinity is real. Scripture backs it up. We can see it in the prayer of Jesus found in John 17.
In John 17:6-8, Jesus says, “I have revealed you to the ones you gave me from this world. They were always yours. You gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they know that everything I have is a gift from you, for I have passed on to them the message you gave me. They accepted it and know that I came from you, and they believe you sent me.”
But we can go beyond Scripture. Did you know that you can challenge God? That is right, you can challenge Him to reveal Himself to you. Many people are afraid of this. They think they have to be nice little puppets that only heap praise upon God. They do not want to “make Him mad.”
But you know what? Jesus wants you to be real. We talked about that the last few days. The Lord wants you to be genuine, authentic, and honest. And that doesn’t just apply to how you are around your peers. He wants you to be authentic with Him as well.
If you have questions about God, the realness of God, or what Jesus did on the cross, tell Him! Tell Him you don’t fully believe yet and you still have questions. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you.
I’m here to tell you today, HE WILL. If you challenge Him and ask Him to reveal Himself to you, He will do so. He will surely show you just how real He is. If you are questioning God, let Him know. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you and watch how He responds!
