Saying Yes to God

"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us." - Ephesians 3:20

God isn’t limited by the natural world. His power is infinite, His ways are higher than ours, and His plans often go beyond what we can comprehend. Yet, the key to seeing God’s supernatural power in our lives often comes down to a simple decision: saying yes.

When you say yes to God, you’re stepping into a realm where your limits no longer matter. Your “yes” opens the door for Him to do what only He can. It’s not about your ability, your resources, or your understanding. It’s about your willingness to trust and obey Him. God isn’t looking for perfect people with perfect plans. He’s looking for surrendered hearts ready to follow where He leads.

Saying yes doesn’t mean you’ll always understand what God is doing or where He’s taking you. It means you trust Him even when it doesn’t make sense. It means believing that His plans are good, even when the path feels uncertain. It’s in those moments of faith that God shows up in ways that leave no doubt He is at work.

Think about the areas of your life where God might be calling you to step out in faith. Maybe it’s a relationship that needs healing, a calling you’ve been avoiding, or a step of generosity that feels risky. Whatever it is, your yes could be the start of something supernatural.

God wants to do the extraordinary in and through you, but He won’t force it. He’s waiting for you to trust Him enough to say yes. When you do, you’ll find that His power is more than enough. He can move mountains, open doors, and transform lives—starting with yours.
Are you ready to say yes? Whatever God is asking of you, trust that your obedience will be met with His power. Take the step and watch Him do the impossible.

Sometimes that’s all I know. My answer is yes. I want to be like the song says you have my eternal yes and today that is in fact true. But sometimes there is a fight. I end up saying yes because I trust Him but that’s where I really have to choose whether I trust myself more. Thank you for this Pastor Ed. He has never failed me and maybe even the harder it is to say yes the better it is when I do so.

I said yes to admitting my brother, who suffers from alcoholism and I felt so guilty but I know now that I need to trust God. I feel so much better now that I read this devotional this morning this is confirmation that I did the right thing by saying yes and trusting God to do his work. Thank you pastor Ed you are amazing and I feel so much better. I said yes to admitting my brother, who suffers from alcoholism, and though I felt guilty, I now realize that trusting God is essential. After reading a devotional this morning, I feel a renewed sense of hope and confirmation that my decision was right. Trusting God to do His work has brought me peace.
