Your Worth Is Set
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well." - Psalm 139:13-14
Your identity isn’t something that shifts with your circumstances or changes with other people’s opinions. But if you base your worth on your acceptance by others or on your accomplishments, it’s like building your life on sand. You’re left riding an emotional roller coaster, constantly going up and down depending on how things are going.
God offers you something unshakable. He speaks a concrete reality over your life: you are not an accident. Your existence isn’t the result of random chance or a string of coincidences. God formed and fashioned you with intention. Before you were even a thought in anyone else’s mind, God had you in His. He knew you. He loved you. He planned your life and spoke purpose over you.
Think about this: long before there was a positive pregnancy test or even the possibility of you existing, God was already positive about you. He had already decided you were significant, valuable, and worth creating. He’s not waiting for you to prove yourself or to measure up. He’s already determined your worth, and it’s not based on what you do but on who He is.
The question is, will you believe what God has said about you? Will you receive the truth He’s spoken over your life? You don’t have to hustle for your worth or chase after other people’s validation. Your value was set by the One who formed you in your mother’s womb, who organized your steps, and who continues to call you by name.
When you accept the truth of who you are in Christ, the roller coaster stops. You find peace, purpose, and stability, not in what you do, but in who God says you are. So rest in the fact that your worth isn’t up for debate. It’s been settled by the One who created you, and nothing can change that.
