Stop Living Like a Spiritual Orphan

"So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God." – Galatians 4:7

If you are a child of God, why are you living in spiritual poverty? Why do you struggle to walk in freedom when the Spirit of God lives inside you? Why do you settle for less when the King of Kings calls you His own?

The answer is simple. You are grieving the Holy Spirit by refusing to walk in obedience. You cannot expect to see the miracles, signs, and wonders of God if you are not following His Word. You cannot ignore what He has already spoken and then ask Him for something new. If God has given you clear direction and you have not obeyed it, why would He reveal more?

The moment you decide to stop grieving the Spirit and start obeying what God has already said, everything changes. When you live in obedience, you make room for the Holy Spirit to move. When you align your heart with God’s Word, He begins to speak with greater clarity, increase your faith, and open doors you never expected.

Even when your circumstances look impossible, there is a supernatural reality unfolding behind the scenes. You might be standing in a place where the kingdom of God does not yet have a presence, but He has put you there for a reason. You might be the one God uses to shift the atmosphere, to bring light into the darkness, and to be an agent of change.

Henry Blackaby said, “God, You are at work around me, show me how to join You.” That should be your prayer. The Holy Spirit does not just invite you to watch what He is doing. He invites you to take part in it. But that will never happen if you keep living like a spiritual orphan.

You are not abandoned. You are not forgotten. You are a son. You are a daughter. It is time to stop begging for scraps when you have been given access to the full inheritance of the kingdom. Step into it. Live like the child of God you are.
