The Power to Move in Faith

"Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father." – John 14:12

God never intended for you to live a powerless life. When Jesus walked the earth, He healed the sick, cast out demons, and performed miracles, not just to prove who He was, but to demonstrate what life in the Spirit looks like. Then He made an incredible statement: whoever believes in Him will do the same works and even greater ones.

That kind of power does not come from effort, talent, or skill. It comes from the Holy Spirit. The dynamic gifts—faith, healing, and miracles—are evidence that God is still moving today.
The gift of faith is not ordinary belief. It is a supernatural confidence that what God has promised will come to pass. It is the kind of faith that looks at an impossible situation and says, “God will make a way.” This is not something you can manufacture. It is a gift given by the Holy Spirit to strengthen you and those around you.

The gift of healing is the power of God restoring what is broken. In Scripture, Jesus healed people wherever He went. Blind eyes were opened, diseases disappeared, and even the dead were raised. That power did not stop with Him. The Holy Spirit still moves through believers today, bringing physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

The working of miracles is when God moves in a way that defies natural explanation. It is when doors open that should have been closed, when provision appears where there was none, when circumstances shift in ways that only God could orchestrate. Miracles remind us that God is not limited by human ability. He is still the God who makes the impossible possible.

Why do you need these gifts? Because the world is desperate for evidence that God is real. People are hurting, struggling, and searching for answers. When the Holy Spirit moves through you with faith, healing, and miracles, it is not just for you. It is a sign to others that God is alive and active.

Ask for these gifts. Not for attention or recognition, but so that the power of God can flow through your life. The Holy Spirit is ready to move. The question is, are you willing to step out in faith and let Him use you?

Yes Pastor Ed. The evidence of God working in my life is what people see first. I remember when I wasn’t living right I was still seeing miracles on a daily basis. The spirit was very much alive and amazing me on a continual basis. But other people saw a crazy person still not living right. I am so grateful I finally starting taking action to do better. It’s been a few years now and it has had an effect on several people I know. People who would never step foot into a church have started going, and many find hope. The Lord gives me prophesy on a regular basis and those who get close to me get to see it come to fruition. This I hope brings people closer to God and to the Truth in Jesus Christ. Life can still get hard for me but I guess that is my cross to bear in this life. The benefits far outweigh the struggles. One thing I have become certain of. Where I go He also goes. What I witness He also witnesses.

Thank you for this reminder Pastor Ed. Yesterday was tough. As I was out in the world walking in faith… the enemy surrounded me and was trying to tear at my flesh. I need to be reminded that the gifts I have need to said and the He is the Source.
