Walk in Courage
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." - Joshua 1:9
Courage is not about feeling fearless. It is about moving forward even when fear is gripping your heart. As John Wayne said, "Courage is being afraid but saddling up anyways." The truth is, every one of us will face things that feel bigger than we can handle. Whether it is a personal battle, a health scare, a financial struggle, or a step of faith that feels way out of your comfort zone, fear shows up. But courage is not the absence of that fear. It is the decision to act in spite of it.
The key is not in pretending your challenges are small. It is in framing them the right way. Yes, what you are facing may be massive. It may be real and overwhelming. But when you frame it through the lens of who God is, everything shifts. The situation might be bigger than you, but it is never bigger than God. The fear might feel powerful, but God is stronger. The challenge might look impossible, but nothing is impossible for Him.
It is all about perspective. Too often we make the mistake of measuring our obstacles against our own strength. No wonder we feel like shrinking back. But the moment you start measuring your obstacles against the size of your God, you begin to walk in courage. You stop letting fear call the shots and start standing firm, knowing that the same God who parted the seas, who brought down giants, who raised the dead, is the God who stands with you now.
So whatever you are up against today, frame it correctly. Remind yourself that you have a God who is bigger than your fear, your struggles, your trials, and your pain. Walking in courage is not about denying the difficulty. It is about refusing to let the difficulty define you.
Step forward with courage, not because you have all the answers, but because you serve the One who does. He is with you wherever you go, and that truth changes everything.

This weekend my son says my name is Cory now and dad your name is Cj. Lol. Great service today. After these past couple weeks it’s becoming much more clear now that once I entered upon this new relationship with my creator through Jesus Christ it’s not just different. It’s the only thing that matters. Set your mind on things above. Also it is written something about a soldier doesn’t concern himself with the aspects of every day living. What I take out of that is to pay close attention to the details with that in mind as God is perfecting us in this life for His purpose. Whatever it takes.
