When God Opens the Floodgates

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us." - Ephesians 3:20

Right now, you may be walking through a season that feels dry, heavy, and unrelenting. You have prayed and waited. You have stayed faithful, even when everything in you wanted to give up. You have trusted when you could not trace His hand, and you have whispered prayers in the dark when no one saw your tears.

It has felt long. It has felt quiet. And maybe, if you’re honest, it has felt like God has passed you by.

But right now I need you to know something: He hasn’t.

God sees the road you have walked, every step of sacrifice and faithfulness. And while it may feel like nothing is changing, the God you serve is a God who specializes in “immeasurably more.” He is not a God of just enough. He is not a God of barely scraping by. He is the God who, at the right time, opens the floodgates of heaven and pours out blessings in ways you could never have orchestrated or imagined on your own.

When God moves, it’s not a trickle, it’s a flood.

You may be standing in the middle of drought today, but you serve a God who brings rain to the driest ground. You may be staring at an empty net, but you serve a God who fills it to overflowing. You may be at the edge of your strength, but you serve a God whose power has no limits.

And when He moves, when He says now, it will not be a small shift. It will be a wave of grace, provision, healing, and joy that you will not be able to contain. You will look back at this season and understand that every trial, every tear, every waiting moment was shaping you, preparing you, and deepening your roots so you could carry the weight of His blessing.

It's time to lift your eyes. Refuse to let the enemy convince you this is how your story ends. Stay faithful. Stay expectant. Because you serve a God who is not finished, and when He pours out His blessing, it will come pressed down, shaken together, and running over.

Hold on. The floodgates are closer than you think.
