Be Where Your Feet Are

“Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much” – Luke 16:10

It is easy to get caught dreaming about the next big thing. The promotion, the platform, the opportunity you think will finally unlock your purpose. But here’s the truth that often gets missed. God is not waiting for you to arrive somewhere greater before He starts using you. He is watching what you are doing with the place you are in right now.

Sometimes we live with one foot in the future and the other in the past, and miss the ground we are standing on. But God did not make a mistake placing you here. Where your feet are is where your focus should be. That classroom, that workplace, that small group, that situation that feels mundane or beneath your calling. It might just be the very ground God is using to build your foundation.

Being faithful now matters. God does not reward potential. He honors obedience. And if you are constantly looking for the next season before giving your best, you may never step into the fullness of what He has for you. God is not only trying to open doors for you. He is trying to shape the kind of person who will be ready when the door opens.

So what if you stopped measuring where you are against where you wish you were, and started asking, “How can I be excellent here?” What if you stopped waiting to be seen, waiting to be chosen, waiting for it to feel more exciting, and decided to be fully present where your feet are planted? That’s where growth happens. That’s where character is developed. That’s where God sees you and says, “Now I can trust them with more.”

Wherever you find yourself today, it is not wasted space. God has a purpose in it. So lean into it. Be faithful in the job that feels overlooked. Serve in the space that feels small. Love the people around you with everything you have. Because the way you handle what’s happening now is what prepares you for what comes next.

Be where your feet are. Heaven is watching how you walk in this season.
