God Sees What Others Miss

"For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart." – 1 Samuel 16:7

God does not choose people based on the same criteria the world uses. The world is drawn to image, status, and credentials. God is drawn to surrender, humility, and the heart.

Think about it. When the prophet Samuel went to anoint the next king of Israel, he looked at all the strong, impressive brothers first. But God passed over each of them. David was out in the field, overlooked by everyone else, and yet he was God’s choice. Why? Because God is not impressed by resumes or reputation. He chooses for His glory.

And that is still true today. You may not feel qualified. You might not be the most gifted in the room. You might not have the background or the platform that others do. But God is not limited by any of that. He uses people the world overlooks because when the breakthrough happens, it’s clear that the power came from Him.

Maybe you've felt disqualified because others didn't see potential in you. Maybe you've been passed over or underestimated. Let this be your reminder that their opinion has no authority over God’s purpose. He knows exactly what He placed inside of you, and He sees what others miss.

1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us, “The Lord sees not as man sees.” That means you don’t need to chase validation from people. You don’t need to impress the crowd. You don’t need to live for approval. You just need to be faithful with what God has given you.

When God lifts someone up whom others ignored, He gets all the credit. And that’s the point. He’s not looking for perfect people. He’s looking for available people.

Understand that if God has called you, that’s enough. He sees the heart, and He knows how to take what the world calls ordinary and do something extraordinary with it.
