Never Enough

"For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things." – Psalm 107:9

I want to ask you a question today... When will it be enough?

That new outfit you thought would make you feel better. That new job title you thought would finally bring you validation. The new car, new relationship, new house, new body. How many times have you reached for something you thought would fill the void, only to feel just as empty after the shine wears off?

This is the trap of the world. It lures us in with promises of satisfaction but never delivers on them. The moment you grab hold of one thing, it starts whispering about the next. It’s never enough. And if you keep living that way, you’ll keep running in circles, chasing highs that fade and striving for peace that never settles in your soul.

Trying to find satisfaction in this world is like pouring water into a bowl with a hole in the bottom. You can pour and pour, but it will never stay full. It leaks. It drains. It leaves you exhausted, constantly needing more. And yet that’s the system many live in every single day. It’s the cycle that keeps you distracted from the truth.

Only God can fill you. Only He satisfies the deepest longing of your heart. That desire to be known, to be loved without conditions, to feel whole, to live with peace. You weren’t created to be filled by temporary things. You were made for Him. And when He becomes your source, your bowl finally holds water.

Jesus doesn’t just top off what you already have. He replaces what never worked with what actually does. He trades your striving for rest, your hunger for fulfillment, your thirst for living water.

The world says, “Just one more thing and you’ll be happy.” Jesus says, “Come to me and you’ll never thirst again.” It’s time to stop chasing what was never meant to satisfy. Let today be the day you stop running and start resting in the only One who can truly satisfy your soul.
