Trust the Heart of God

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding" – Proverbs 3:5

There are seasons in life when it feels like you can’t see the hand of God at work. You’ve prayed, you’ve waited, and still nothing seems to be moving. In those moments, it’s easy to question where He is or if He’s even listening. But that’s when you have to remember something powerful. When you can’t see the hand of God, you can trust the heart of God.

God’s track record speaks for itself. Look back at your life. Think about the prayers He’s answered, the doors He’s opened, the ways He’s provided, and the times He’s carried you through storms you thought would take you out. Do you really believe He brought you this far just to leave you now? Absolutely not. If He’s been faithful before, He’ll be faithful again. And if you could hear Him in this moment, He’d be saying, “Hang on. Don’t give up. You haven’t seen anything yet.”

But here’s where it gets challenging: when trouble comes, our focus often turns inward. The pain, the inconvenience, and the fear can make it all about us. That’s when gratitude disappears and complaining creeps in. You may not even realize it’s happening until someone who loves you speaks the truth and calls it out. And while it can sting to hear, it’s often exactly what we need to break out of that cycle.

A shift in perspective starts when you take your eyes off yourself and fix them on God. When you stop replaying what’s wrong and start remembering who He is. When you stop magnifying the problem and start magnifying the One who can handle it.

You might not see His hand right now, but you can trust His heart. You can trust that He’s working behind the scenes in ways you can’t yet imagine. And one day, you’ll look back and see that even when you couldn’t see Him, He never stopped seeing you.
