Move With Faith
"So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead" - James 2:17
It’s easy to say we believe...but it’s much harder to act like it. Real faith does not just sit still and wait for life to change. Real faith steps forward, even when the outcome is unclear. It obeys when it would be safer to stay put. It moves when there are still questions left unanswered.
Sometimes we confuse belief with faith. Belief agrees with God. Faith follows Him. Belief acknowledges the promise. Faith puts one foot in front of the other when that promise is still out of sight. Faith means walking toward something even when you cannot see how it will work out.
In the Bible, when God called Abram, He told him to leave everything familiar and go to a place that would only be revealed later. He didn’t give the full map, just the first step. Abram had to trust and move. That same call comes to you. You may not know how the job will turn out, how the finances will hold up, or how the relationship will heal. But faith moves anyway, because it trusts the One who is leading.
Too many times, we wait for certainty before we act. We want guarantees. We want to see results before we take the risk. But faith is not built on results. It’s built on obedience. Faith is not about knowing the plan. It’s about knowing the One who made it.
If you believe God is who He says He is, then act like it. Do the thing He’s put on your heart. Start the process. Have the conversation. Walk through the door. It might not all make sense yet, but faith doesn’t wait for perfect clarity. It walks with confidence in a perfect God.

thanks Pastor Ed for today's word.
Thank you, Pastor Ed, for always being faithful to point us to the Word as a "lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path" for each and every day. (Psalm 119:105). I share your DEVO on my Facebook every morning. I also love reading the comments and praying for those who made them. "Much love" ~ Linda
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews11:1). I remember listening to a preached word on this verse. Where the Pastor just spoke on the “Now Faith.” As you stated Pastor Ed faith is moving even when we are unsure or simply just standing still. Thank you sir!!!??
Thank you
