He Sees the Whole Picture
"Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God" - Genesis 22:12
There are times when you feel like God is asking too much or leading you into a season that makes no sense. You try to trust Him, but nothing adds up. You pray and wait, and still the road ahead is blurry. It is easy in those moments to wonder if God forgot something, or worse, if He got it wrong.
But He never does.
Abraham walked up a mountain not knowing how the story would end. All he had was a promise and a command. He could not see the ram caught in the thicket. He could not hear the voice that would stop his hand. But God saw it all. From the beginning, God knew exactly what He was doing. The test was not just about obedience; it was about trust.
The same is true for you. God sees the whole picture, while you only see the next step. You may feel like things are falling apart, but He is working it all together. What feels like a delay might be divine preparation. What seems like confusion might be the setup for something greater than you can imagine.
Faith means trusting the character of God even when you do not understand the plan of God. You can walk with confidence because the One writing your story already knows the ending. And He is not wasting a single page.
You may not get the answers when you want them. You may not get the details you wish you had. But you can rest in knowing this: your God has not lost track of you. He is not confused. He is not late. He knows exactly what He is doing. And when it is time, He will make it all clear.

Thank you for the reminder and the words of encouragement Pastor Ed. I don’t always pay enough attention to what the Holy Spirt is telling me. This morning it brought to mind how God always tells me what’s coming before it actually comes. It’s kind of become a partnership where i can prepare for what He has done. But you know, I don’t always pick up on what He is putting down. Those little signs where a word grabs my attention for no reason. A small voice. A topic that ends up coming up while talking with a friend about some life scenario. These are all things where God has made a habit of talking to me. Picked up on a suggestion awhile back and it has held to be pretty accurate. If I hear it once the no big deal but if I hear it twice or even three times in a short period of time then i should be paying attention to whatever that is leading me to. Thanks again Pastor Ed. Focus on the things above…
Cj ... if you talk to others the same way you "talk" to Pastor Ed or to us in these Comments, you are planting seeds and winning others to Christ but you may not ever see that (on this side of heaven). I came to Christ just from hearing my sister (who I only got to know as an adult) talk about her RELATIONSHIP with Him. YOU do that, Cj ... "what the Holy Spirit is telling me", "God always tells me ....", "God has made a habit of talking to me". Sharing things like that as naturally and authentically as you do will DRAW those who are desperate for what you have!! Keep on doing that, brother. Blessings your way.
thanks Pastor Ed, have a blessed day
Yes & Amen
Amen. God I receive it. Help me to stay strong and trust you in the waiting. In Jesus name ???
