Making Room Again

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.” - Psalm 51:12

There was a time when your faith felt alive. You could sense God’s presence, your prayers felt real, and your heart was tender to His voice. But somewhere along the way, other things began to fill the space that once belonged to Him. Work became heavier.
Distractions grew louder. The spark of devotion slowly dimmed under the weight of routine. You did not walk away from God intentionally. Life just got full, and without realizing it, your heart became crowded.

Many believers reach that point. They still believe, still show up, and still speak about God, but deep down they know something has shifted. The space that once belonged entirely to Him has been shared with worry, busyness, or self-reliance. The good news is that God has not moved. He is still near, still waiting, and still ready to fill the room you have forgotten to give Him.

Making room again begins with honesty. It means admitting that you have let other things take first place. It means slowing down long enough to recognize what has been missing. Revival does not start in a church service. It starts in a heart that says, “God, I miss You.” When you begin to reorder your life around His presence, peace returns, joy is renewed, and purpose becomes clear again.

You cannot live on yesterday’s faith. God wants to meet you today. He wants the part of your heart that has been buried beneath distractions and guilt. He wants your focus, your affection, and your trust.

It is never too late to make room again. The moment you turn your attention back to Him, He fills the empty space with grace and life. Transformation begins when you let Him take His rightful place once more. Make room again and let your heart come alive in His presence.

Thank you Pastor Ed! This one hit me like a gut punch as I’m getting ready to go worship Him. I don’t celebrate nearly as much as He deserves, and I truly need to intentionally make more time for Him! This message resonates so much.
