You Carry the Presence of God

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." – 2 Corinthians 3:17

The day you gave your life to Jesus, everything changed. You did not just receive forgiveness. You did not just secure eternity in heaven. You received the Holy Spirit. Your body became the temple of the living God. His presence is not far away. He is not distant. He is inside of you.

But the Holy Spirit was not given just for salvation. He was given to equip you, strengthen you, and guide you into spiritual growth. Every single day, you are being shaped into the image of Jesus. The power that makes that transformation happen is the Holy Spirit. He brings to mind the things you have learned.

Think about the moments when you are reading the Bible and a verse jumps off the page. That is the Holy Spirit. When you suddenly think of someone and feel the need to pray for them, that is the Holy Spirit. When you walk into a room and sense that something deeper is happening, the Holy Spirit is making you aware. You are not just living in the natural. You are carrying the presence of God into every space you enter.

That means when you step into places where God is not acknowledged, you bring Him there. You carry the power of His presence. The supernatural is not just something you read about in Scripture. You have been given spiritual gifts, not for your own recognition, but to reflect the glory of God and to accomplish His will on earth.

Philippians 2:13 reminds you that it is God who works in you, both to will and to act according to His good pleasure. That means every prompting, every stirring in your heart to pray, speak, or move in faith is not from you. It is the Holy Spirit leading you. The question is, will you listen?

You are not powerless. You are not ordinary. You are a temple of the living God, filled with His Spirit, and called to walk in His power. When you embrace that truth, everything changes. Step into your day knowing that wherever you go, you bring the presence of God with you.

Thank you again Pastor Ed. Sometimes it is hard to just wait on God. I get these expectations that come in. Either for good or bad they both end up in the same result. The full version of the serenity prayer came to mind. Accepting this world as it is and not as i would have it be. It’s definitely a goal.
